The following description is an adaptation of the one carried out in the place web Responsible consumption. The manifestations of the social and environmental crisis in the whole planet are more and more visible: every day we find examples to our surroundings or in the media of the unjust allotment of the wealth and the rising increase of the poverty or of the effects that the current untenable development has for the nature. They would be countless the examples, from the migratory phenomena, until the deforestation or desertización, going by the labor exploitation (mainly of women and children) or the effect hothouse. We live in a society that favors the consumerism, we have become the generation of to use and to throw. The publicity bombards us with announcements whose objective is not our well-being, but making us engagements of a system that reduces people to the paper of mere submissive consumers. This economic model of production and consumption spreads more and more to its exhaustion. As consumers, last link of the economic system, we have a responsibility, but we also have a power, a power that organized and coordinated it can force a real change in our society. With our form of consuming can influence in the march of the economy and of the world in a direct way. A conscious and responsible consumption, guided to the development of satisfactory activities for the nature and people is a great contribution and a decisive instrument of pressure in front of the market. The next pending revolution is the revolution of the consumers. The concept of Responsible consumption is very wide, as it is it the own activity of consuming. We can, however, to synthesize it in three blocks: 1.-A Ethical Consumption, in which values like an important variant are introduced when consuming or of opting for a product. We make special emphasis in the austerity like a value in connection with the reduction for an ecological consumption, but also in front of the wild economic growth and to the consumerism like form of reaching the well-being and the happiness. 2.-A Ecological Consumption that includes, for this order, the famous ones wander of the environmentalist movement: To reduce, Reutilizar and to Recycle, but in the one that elements so indispensable are also included as the agriculture and ecological cattle raising, the option for the production artisan, etc. 3.-A Social or Solidary Consumption, in which would enter also the Fair Trade, that is to say, the consumption in what refers to the social relationships and labor conditions in those that a product has been elaborated or produced a service.
